ARIA Expo Blog Tour, Martha Reynolds

Mike:  Hi, Martha.  I’m happy to start Week Two of the ARIA Blog Tour with yet another Association of Rhode Island Author (ARIA) to introduce to my Overlords fan base.  As with the others, we’re going to do an old fashioned interview.  Here we go!

Mike:  Martha, please introduce yourself to my Overlords fans with a little information about you and where you’re from.

Martha:  Hey Mike, great to be here! I’m a former fraud investigator who now writes novels. A lifelong Rhode Islander who graduated from PC (Go Friars!) and now lives in West Warwick.

Mike:  What are you working on these days and what’s the current status of that project?

Martha:  You had to ask, didn’t you? Just kidding. My sixth novel will be a romantic comedy with a Christmas theme. I had high hopes of completing it in time for holiday sales, but it looks like the book will have to wait until next year.

Mike:  Can you tell the audience what inspires you to write?

Martha:  Everyday life. The people around me. Hope. Despair. And then hope again.

Mike:  What genre do you enjoy writing the most?

Martha:  Literary fiction. I write for both men and women.

Mike:  Any upcoming projects we should know about?

Martha:  I have a few author events (Women’s Expo at Twin River on October 5, RIC Homecoming on October 18, and, of course, the BIG event – the Second Annual RI Authors' Expo on November 8.

Mike:  OK, time for some quick ones, ready?  Favorite movie?

Martha:  Broadcast News.

Mike: Favorite food or dish to make?

Martha:  This Irish lass makes great meatballs!

Mike:  Favorite place you have ever visited?

Martha:  Switzerland, of course.

Mike:  Favorite music band?

Martha:  James Taylor! I know, he’s not a band, but he has backup musicians.  If you’re going to be a stickler about a band, then the E Street Band. J

Mike:  Favorite book, and no it can’t be one of yours!

Martha:  A Movable Feast (Hemingway)

Mike:  Martha, thanks for being such a good sport!  Is there anything you would like to leave my fans with?

Martha:  Only my sincerest thanks for featuring me on your blog.

Mike:  Martha, thanks for being part of this great blog series.  Please follow the links below to get in touch with Martha and most importantly, buy her books!

Wait a minute, I did not misspell "Moveable!"

MS Word flagged it as a mistake and I corrected it -- my bad!
